The nearest beach is 5 miles away at Rock on the Camel estuary. Several golf courses within a 10 mile radius. The historic harbour town of Padstow is 8 miles away. There are magnificent cliff walks and innumerable coves and bays to explore all along this stunning coastline. Plenty of activities for children including horse-riding, cycle trails and surf schools.

Open-plan Kitchen, Dining and Living Areas

The light and airy open-plan layout at Camel Prospect makes it the perfect place to spend quality time with your friends and family. Whether you’re planning to have a sit down meal together, cosy down with a film, or play a board game around the table you’ll find the living space lends itself very well to social occasions.

The kitchen is well equipped with a microwave, hob, oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. You can easily prepare dinners at home or if you’re having a night off cooking the many eateries of Wadebridge are just a stroll over the bridge.


The master bedroom has a large double bed in it and is en-suite and furnished with a large wardrobe and a chest of drawers. There is access from this room into a small sunkend courtyard through glazed French doors.

The second bedroom has a regular double bed, clothes rail and chest of drawers with seat above it.

The Third bedroom has 2 bunk beds and a small clothes rail with storage shelves above.

We make the beds up with fresh laundry and provide a towel for each guest prior to arrival so it is important that you let us know how many people will be in your party at the time of booking.


The main bathroom has underfloor heating over a tiled floor,toilet, sink and a bath with a shower overhead.

The en-suite shower room off the main bedroom has a walk in shower cubicle with drencher showerhead and secondary flexible showerhead. There is a toilet, sink and shelving to store items on.

We provide a towel for each guest prior to arrival so it is important that you let us know how many people will be in your party at the time of booking.

Rooftop Balcony, Private Parking and Outside Spaces

One of the nicest features of the house is the roof terrace balcony which is accessed through double patio doors from the main open plan living space. From here you can see over Gonvena road to the river Camel. It’s a great place to sit out and have an alfresco lunch on a sunny day, just watching the world go by. There is also a small outdoor sunken courtyard accessed from double doors in the master bedroom. This leads to a little utility room with a washing machine.

Parking: Outside the property is a block paved area where you can park up to 1 large vehicle and 1 small car. Located in a private courtyard with access via an alleyway which in true Cornish style narrows to 2.3 metres wide at one point. We regularly drive a transit size van up and park it alongside a small car but it is definitely worth noting that this involves tight manouvering so if you have a larger vehicle, this might be something to consider before booking the property.

The upside of the tight access is having parking directly outside the house which is handy as the parking for townhouses in Cornwall can often be a long way from the house which isn’t much fun if you’ve got a lot of luggage and food supplies with you.

Wadebridge Town Centre

Wadebridge is a thriving riverside town with lots of independent shops and cafes to explore along a quaint pedestrianised high street. It is also home to an excellent independent cinema and one of the most stunning dedicated cycle trails in the country.

Getting To Wadebridge


The nearest airport is at Newquay, 10 miles away and Exeter airport is 70 miles away.


The nearest rail station is Bodmin Parkway which is 10 miles away and Newquay also has a station which is about 15 miles away.

Bus & Coach

The National Express coach from London to Penzance calls at Wadebridge and there are buses to Padstow, Newquay and Bodmin from Wadebridge.


Coming by car gives the most flexibility for visits around Cornwall but alternatively there is plenty to see by bike locally using the area’s dedicated cycle networks.

This property is in a wonderful location, only a short drive to many local places (Padstow, Polzeath, Port Isaac, Rock and so many more!) as well as handy to all the shops and facilities in town. Perfect if you want to head out along the Camel Trail in either direction on bikes or foot. Great place for kids – 2 different playgrounds within 500m. Bedroom configuration works well for families, along with the two bathrooms. We loved the living area, which allowed everyone their own area if needed, but to be still all together. Owners are friendly and always helpful if needed. Property was clean and well maintained. We would definitely recommend this property to family and friends. Cornwall is one of our favourite places to visit (we love the Coast paths and all the outdoor areas to explore). We would definitely stay here again if we are back in Cornwall.

A great location

Camel Prospect is location was great for exploring North Cornwall. The property is well equipped, there were only two of this time but plenty of room for a family. Wadebridge has lots of local shops to support plus all the usual supermarkets too. A good range of eateries even with Covid restrictions we managed to either get booked in or use their takeaway services. Sam the owner was available if we needed him with any issues or needed advice. Highly recommend this property.

Lovely accommodation in a perfect location, loved everything about it.

We have just come back from a week at Camel Prospect and absolutely loved it. The accommodation was lovely and had everything you needed whilst away from home. It also had very comfy beds which is such a bonus when you are on holiday. The location is ideal just a minutes walk into the town which means you can have days without having to use the car. We cycled the Camel Trail to Padstow day and also went to the Regal cinema in Wadebridge one evening which is an absolute must whatever is on. There is lots to do and see nearby a great relaxing week all round!! Thanks. Liz

Fabulous Stay!

This is our first time staying at Camel Prospect and it certainly did not disappoint. Superb location and base to visit the many incredible places and charms Kernow has to offer. Also, the opportunity to get more acquainted with Wadebridge as the walk in and around the town was always a delight. The property is first class and set-up perfectly - the bottle of French red on arrival particularly pleasing!! Sam was always helpful and super approachable which makes a big difference to your stay. Hopefully, in the very near future we'll be back to stay again.

Lovely property, fantastic location, helpful owners, would stay again

This is a great little property 2 minutes walk from everything in Wadebridge. We stayed for 2 weeks visiting my sister with our 4 year old and 2 month old the property had everything we wanted and needed to host other visiting family and friends. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment (a first for a self catering place) and they provided spare linen and towels on request. Parking and access to the property is tight but manageable (even with a screaming baby in the car!) And the property feels private enough even though you are just off a moderately busy road. Fully recommend staying here.

Third stay here and it's still great

This is the third time we've stayed here- it's a perfect base for so many beaches and the camel trail. The property has everything you need- is clean, spacious and warm. Booking is really eay, with very friendly owners. We do a lot of surfing so it's great that there's plenty of space, especially an outside tap and a secure area/utility space to dry wetsuits and store boards. Other reviews have talked about the access, but it's no problem for us. Would really recommend this property.
